Isn't It Sad

by Lauraballz   Oct 28, 2004

Choking my pillow I hold it so tight,
Imagine their arms are still here.
Deny the casting shadow of truth,
Which murders the weakened with fear.
Warned myself of love's foul play,
Never again should I fall;
Isn't it sad how you find the one,
And they’re not the one at all?

Aimlessly treading life's bloodthirsty path,
How is it my shoes don’t protect me?
And regardless of how much I try to avoid,
The sharp roads are all I can see.
Seems so simple to finish it all,
But feet are so easy to mend;
Isn't it sad how life goes on,
When all you want is the end?

Smoulders of flowers crowned the school gates,
Streams of people I barely knew.
The popular crowd who never looked twice,
Stood around as the harsh wind blew.
Trickling tears down their pale-made faces,
Reading the grievances listed;
Isn't it sad how I had to die,
For someone to see I existed?

xXx
