You raised me,
You held me close most of my life,
When did you loose yourself,
When did your love for me end,
For many years Ive struggled,
To keep my head up and strong,
But for once i did it,
I got away from you,

Just weren't enough,
To make me stay with you,
A mothers job is protection,

But you,v lost yourself,

And i cannot force myself,
