My Mother!

by Poppy   Oct 28, 2004

One-person stops,
Me cutting away,
One person keeps me here,
In all the dismay.

You mother hold me lightly,
As the darkness grips me tightly,
You my mother love me so,
This much I know.

My mother keeps me here,
Because she alone stands near,
My mother stands in my corner,
Helping me fight life.

I hate being alive,
With a pure unbridled anger,
I can’t stand breathing,
But she helps make it easier.

My friends are demons,
Put here to hurt me,
My friends are evil,
They want me to die.

But my mother helps me fight,
Keeps me standing night after night,
She holds me close, I love her,
The only person who cares.

Thank you Mother,
For all you’ve done,
Thank you so much,
For being my mum.

I think that in the poem you conveyed a very deep and sincere meaning of your relationship with your mum. It was really a very touching poem. Well done.
