Help This Country

by Felicia Tursi   Oct 28, 2004

My country is beginning to die,
In its grave it soon will lie.
We once were so free,
But now my country is beginning to be.
One murderer set out to fulfill their job,
To make one another sob.
We used to be known for being kind,
But no longer will we bind.
We are destroying fellow friends,
Our country has a soon and final end.
Since we are hurting other humans,
No other country is our fan.
Why are we so violent and mean,
When will we be smart and kean.
Can't we set an example for others,
Help add a smile to another.
Pick people up when they are down,
Turn a crumpled area into a town.
We are not helping anything,
With all these tragic thoughts to be gained.
Lets put down our guns,
Listen for tons and tons.
Of laughter and cheers,
No more cries and tears.
Help put everyone in a home of love,
Fly freely as a dove.
Share blankets and food,
Then no longer will our country be booed.
We will truly be the best of all,
And our country will no longer fall.
