Mom never left

by Matti   Oct 29, 2004

When i was only 6,
My mom died from cancer,
All i had left was a father and a sister,
My sister was too young,
To know what she was like,
But some how she knows,
I have know idea,
So please read this story,
I promise at least one tear,

When i would go to school,
My mother watched my sister,
My sister was only 1,
but mom played and played with her,
They had these little tea parties,
And played with her little toys,
They sat around for hours,
Making a lot of noise,

A week after she passed away,
My sister would go into mom's room,
We hadn't touched a thing,
We just couldn't,
We were through,
but my sister would go in,
She had just learned to walk,
And i would hear some little noises,
Like someone else would talk..

I never knew what she did,
Until one day that i peeked in,
I heard my sister,
She said her first word "mom",
She sat there talking,
And pretend to sip tea,
I called my dad,
And soon he came to see,

You see it's true what they say,
The person is always there,
They never really will leave,
They will always be there ,
To see you and me,
So every Sunday i see my mom,
And i never really miss her,
Well drink tea together,
Its the family all together,

So never touched the room of the person who died,
So they will stay there and be there,
So no one will ever have to cry..
