God's Flower Of Love

by Robert   Oct 30, 2004

A bloom that holds all the beauty within,
a flower that bares thorns but makes on grin.
A gentle hint of red or a shade of yellow or white,
such colors in the rainbow to our delight.
Seeded with love but sheltered to do harm,
don't bear in for it will be you alarm
Hold such a flower with care and discreet,
for it is the only thing given after passion's heat.
This flower does give many the joy of life,
and it should be cut from the stem with a sharp knife.
Let the pedals fall to your feet from time to time,
and walk on them for it is no crime.
Feel the soft pleasure it will give,
and in the end thank God this flower will live.
Give it to the one you hold dear or to a kind friend,
and never let this love end.
