At the end

by Tamara Talcott   Oct 30, 2004

First it was a couple minutes.
Minutes turned to hours.
Hours to days.
Days to weeks

Fallowing a road that seemed to last forever.
First running,
Then jogging,
Slowing to a walk.

Energy dripping the two of us were now trudging worthlessly,
Falling to a crawl.

It did not matter I had to find it.
And you had to help me.
Struggling barley able to move.

The end was finally near.
Only a bit more,
Through a meadow,
Deep into a forest,
We arrived at last.

But there was nothing there
Just you.
then i realized,
You were all i was looking for.

The whole time I was searching desperately for my true love.
My true love is you.

It was right next to me the whole time.
The only thing is...
I dont know who you are.
so my love is left unfound.
