First Step closer

A week ago my ego would have told you
\"yeah, i knew it was coming soon\"
I didn\'t need it to encourage me
but it humbled me that much more
to the point of birds sing calmed me
the rising sun became my gift

I gave something I cant get back
but regret is a star length away
beauty comes in many ways
even that passion filled evening

i was completed and renewed to life and love
Windows foggy but you everlasting comfort was clear
Now i know your voice is the only sound I need to hear
Love was once a mystery to me
but now just another answered riddle with your name
And now I\'m one step closer to being the man i need to be
