Life

by Aleah   Oct 30, 2004

Life goes on
days go by
and we must learn
the truth in lies

life can change
in nothing flat
and in an instant
that's that

we seem to forget
that wounds will heal,
scars will form,
and we will learn
from being torn

shame is a burdon
and pride is a risk
time is left to linger
as we fade within this bliss

life goes on
and days go by
but this is real
for this is life

thank you. it's funny really...this is, in my opinion, my best poem, and i wrote it cause i got bored. the message behind it isn't very hard to find...each stanza has it's own meaning...but it all falls under one cadagory "lifes brutal lessons and rare occasions of forgiveness..."

Good poem, very true, life does go on even if it might take a while. Peace
