Gondor Love Song

by FTS Miles   Oct 31, 2004

Linger longer, dearheart mine,
And warm me with your form...
Let us share a little peace
Before the coming of the morn.

O'er fields the storm clouds cluster
And the grim orcbeat staggers West;
Moonstarlight has lost its luster
And our great city's filled with unrest.

So let the wind fill your hair
Before the breeze's purity has gone,
And let your eyes keep my stare
Until our march come the dawn.

Then after our play in the thickening dark
With swords a'ready and armor tight
Toward Mordor calmly shall we embark
Tranquil resolved in righteous fight.

So linger longer, dear heart mine,
And embrace me warmly tight.
Let us love and sing and final dine,
Last memories bathed in loving light.
