Duskfrost

by FTS Miles   Oct 31, 2004

I shiver by the foam
To a twilight breeze.
Gentle moonglamour
And dusksun violet
Mask my only ever face,
But my eternal eyes
Do not lie my wait.

To the sea I gaze
A shadowtorn watch,
The flickers of former
Footfalls haunting my flesh
Like the pricks and ices
Of windwaltzed sand
And night chilled mist.

For now I seek to savour
This earthly cold,
Knowing the Frost which
Shall befall us All...
Again.
