Walking away.

by Poppy   Oct 31, 2004

I watch as you walk,
Away from me,
What can I do?
I have to leave you be.

I cannot shed another tear,
That much I know is very clear.
I cannot feel the pain of years,
Because that will invoke more tears.

I remember you in the wind that blows,
The trees slowly over,
I remember you in the blazing sun,
Now I feel numb.

I cannot shed another tear,
That much I know is very clear.
I cannot feel the pain of years,
Because that will invoke more tears.

Oh how could it of lasted longer?
How could keep you near,
You never coming back I fear,
But I know this will never happen.

I cannot shed another tear,
That much I know is very clear.
I cannot feel the pain of years,
Because that will invoke more tears.

Tears falling on the floor,
I only close the door to cry more.

I cannot shed another tear,
That much I know is very clear.
I cannot feel the pain of years,
Because that will invoke more tears.

Walking away,
That’s what you’re doing,
Walking away,
That’s what you’ve done.

I cannot shed another tear,
That much I know is very clear.
I cannot feel the pain of years,
Because that will invoke more tears.
