Two years and a child

by Alexis   Oct 31, 2004

After all that you know of my past,
After all of the hurt that I’ve been through.
You still decided to treat me bad,
You still decided to be cruel.
It’s taken me two years and a child,
To realize what I’ve gotten myself into.
After all the places my life has taken me,
I thought when I found you; I found home.
It’s taken me two years and a child,
To realize I’ll surely end up alone.
It’s taken me two years and a child, to realize that
My life really sucks.
No matter what I do, or whom I pray to,
Love turns out, never being true love.
It’s taken two years and a child,
And everyday it is something so different.
If you’re not searching the Personal ads with my credit card,
You’re gone, all day, but the next morning you’ll come to your senses.
It’s taken me two years and a child,
And I’m hoping this isn’t Gods plan for my life.
My daughter is my whole world,
And you and I just can’t get it right.
