Climber

by Thomas Key   Oct 31, 2004

Over a rock
through some bushes
continuing to climb

A lone figure
a silhouette of a man
scales the mountain.

His head filled with thoughts
his life,
full of evils.

He knew what he wanted
he had to do it

So he climbed towards the edge
a cliff,
more so.

He stood on the rocks,
staring down at the bottom.

He saw himself falling
ending his life
or what was,
left of it.

Nature kept quiet,
earth itself seemed to watch
as he leaped.
and fell.
