Chronic Bitterness

by Shædow Poet   Nov 1, 2004

Confused and bitter
The world has turned around
It looks at me with laughter
And mocks without a sound.

Remorseful and jaded
My mask is about to crack
A purpose is still missing
And vengeance, I will lack.

Angry and choleric
The mirror's about to shatter
Rose tears fall down my hand
Smile or cry, I take the latter.

Suffocating, asphyxiating
Burst my head with love
Lonely wandering is needed
Social suppressing I loathe.

Mourning and desolation
The chill of the winters air
Freezing bodies to pieces
Gasping with utter despair.

Dying with agony
Wheezing for trivial life
Watching bone like figures
Thrust in a knife.

Living and dying
Pointless and distasteful
Loving the hardships of life
Necessary yet stressful.

Love and hate
Life and Death
Pain and joy
Dying like the rest.

Caustic yet lovely. You, once again, sculpt a pretty incubus. I repeat; Lovely.

Oh this was so very lovely! and so very dark, right up the alleyway to my favorite reading. I thought your rythym was wonderful, as well as your wording. I give you a 5/5 ^_^
