Turn Back Time

One wish that I have,
Is everything I'd love to come back.
Everything that can make me happy or sad,
Everything my life now lacks.

Wake up and go to school,
With my best friend at my side.
To be happy and act a fool,
To have a boyfriend to hide behind.

To be kissed and to feel a shiver go down my spine,
To be held close enough I can feel his heart,
To know he'll come to me any place any time,
To believe we'll never be apart.

To have endless gossip with my friends,
And insults that don't mean a thing,
To have her help my heart mend,
And for her to be there to make me sing.

But things will often change
And circumstances will arise
Perfect loves will become deranged
And truths will become lies.

Clocks don't reverse,
And nothing feels more real.
It may take forever to be rid of this curse,
But broken hearts do heal.
