When people cry they count their tears
to see what each one means
Some for joy and some for pain
But counted tears are usually painful
that come from deep inside
Pain which comes from people
Pain which comes from actions
Anything that can become pain
turns your world around each day
But the counted tears that I have inside
are all the pain from being broken
One tear is for feeling guilty of doing wrong
Another for making others feel pain
And lots more on the way
Counted tears shouldn't be
but not much can stop them now
Until the world is free from pain
My tears will remain counted
