Losing My Mind

by Michael D Nalley   Nov 2, 2004

O Lord, what will I think with if I lose my mind?
What will I see with, if my eyes are to be blind?
What will I love with if my poor heart is not kind?
Where will my soul go if mercy it does not find?

What does it matter if my words are strong?
And my confused thoughts sing a loud proud song?
If they come from a proud mind that is wrong
A mind that goes where it does not belong

Can I keep my mind holy, pure and true?
Without the divine Love that comes from You?
Do I have the strength for me to do?
What pleases You, it pleases me too

Sometimes what I cannot see, I think is lost,
And sometimes I want it back at any cost
O Lord, heal my mind, so my soul can see
The beauty of Love for eternity
