Innocence

by Vanessa   Nov 2, 2004

It was early in the evening
On the corner of Gertrude Drive
Sally was alone in her car
Everything was normal nothing seemed bizarre

The radio was low
She was driving fairly slow
But soon a truck came from her side
And the two would collide

Sally opened her eyes
All she heard were cries
She laid on the ground
She could hear her heart pound

But soon it all faded away
As she felt herself being lifted to the sky of gray
The man who was in the truck
Well, turns out he was a drunk

So the innocent live was taken away
And the drunk still lives today
