Swollen Eyes

by Unloved ♥   Nov 2, 2004

So much crying that my eyes shrink
So much confusion, my mind begins to sink

I ask whats wrong with tears both in our eyes
And you said "Your father and I had a fight"

I break down thinking
Just hoping things get better
I don't want them to be mad at each other forever

You find us weeping on the floor
You take one glance and you slam the door
Why does it have to be this way?
Lets work this out each and everyday

Mom please stop crying
Your swollen eyes too weak to open
They beg you to stop

And I'm asking God for Dad to forgive you
To trust you again
To show his love in his eyes
Instead of his anger that burns

Don't worry mom I'm by your side
I'll find a place to hide
We won't cry anymore
Lets go, lets let these wings soar
