Lesson's Learned

I have learned a lesson
and that's hard to say,
because all lesson's learned
come from the prices you pay.

I thought guys were all different
and some could be real.
I only thought some
would fake what they feel.

But I have found out on
this quest to be clear.
They tell you exactly
what you want to hear.

They'll trample and trod
and tell you a lie.
And when it's all done
they leave you to cry.

Because to get what they want
they all act the same.
To them love or sex
it's all just a game.

I didn't have many
in which I could compare.
So being open minded
only seemed fair.

But I've had a few now
and so I can say.
When it comes to men
they can all go away.

Cause I have been hurt
by all in my life.
Even the one who
called me his wife.

So here is my lesson,
I hope it is clear.
Men only tell you
what you want to hear.

Now please take this message
that I wish to send.
Pass it on down to a cousin,
sister, or a friend.

Then maybe someday
we won't have to cry,
because some man,
tells us a lie!
