Insomnia (Here Comes The Sun)

by Cantchangeme   Nov 3, 2004

A hundred thousand thoughts
Go drifting through my head
These thoughts drift around
As i lie silent upon my bed
Eyes remain dark and closed
Try to clear my aching mind
It's all to no avail at all
Another o'clock duly chimed

Here comes the sun
With an evil smile
Here comes the sun
Wait all the while

Im too tired to sleep
The hours march on bye
I walk up to my window
And see the morning sky
Not one sound outside
A glimpse of the sun
My eyes water non-stop
Morning's race is won

Here comes the sun
With tommorows day
Here comes the sun
To take night away

If i was asleep would i be dreaming
Awake now I am dreaming of sleeping
Blood shot eyes and pictures past
As morning comes upon me creeping
Synthetic smiles of another day
Its enough to makes us go insane
Now that this poison called insomnia
Shoves red hot needles into my brain

Here comes the sun
Shines upon my face
Here comes the sun
It has won its race
