Emotional Pain

by John Holley   Nov 3, 2004

I could fill this room
With every tear that I've cried
But no body knows a thing
'Cause I continue to hide
But this cloud is getting heavy
It can't hold much more
I hope everybody's ready
For the rain to pour
The things that I've been through
No one else could survive
It's kind of like being dead
When you're still alive
Why the hell should I go on
Give me one good reason
I should end it all now
And refrain from breathing
But before it's all over
You're gonna hurt
You will wish that you were me
Sleeping under the dirt
They say revenge is a dish
That's best served cold
So I will get you for everything
The new and the old
The sun set one night
And never rose again
So I live this life
Just waiting for it to end

i liked how it's negative in the beginning but ends up getting a little brighter in the end. great poem. keep it up. take care:)

ps. i think you meant 'That's best SERVED cold' instead of That's best SEVERED cold.
