Out of our hands (funeral)

by Mild insomnia   Nov 3, 2004

When closing your eyes don't relieve you of the memories,
And you can't sleep cos they forever haunt your dreams,
You can't eat when you can't concentrate on anything,
And only time can tell you what this all means.

You never told her just how much she meant to you,
And you'll never get around to falling in love, at least not with her,
When there's just nothing left for you to do...
And it's all over before it even, started.

It was an accident and there's no hope,
Some say it's fate, and I hope they choke,
They say they're sorry for your pain, like it's a joke,
But they'll never know,
I guess that's how it goes,
It's just something we can't control.

If I could turn back time for you, then I'd have done it,
But you know it's never gunna happen, sorry,
There wasn't time to think, or move before the car hit,
And it's not your fault, so stop feeling so guilty.

It was an accident and there's no hope,
Some say it's fate, and I hope they choke,
They say they're sorry for your pain, like it's a joke,
But they'll never know,
I guess that's how it goes,
It's just something we can't control.

I'm sure that she would have told you some day,
She just never found the right words to say,
And by the time she had it was too late,
She was taken away,
Only yesterday,
Death's something we can't delay.
