I don't know you anymore.

by Unseen Exposure   Nov 3, 2004

Don't look at me with those eyes
Or smile with your sly grin
Don't walk along with pride
At the fact that I didn't win

Don't pretend you're something better
When you knew it all so well
The circumstances for actions
And the things I couldn't tell

So don't come so close to me
Or beg for a listening ear
Don't ask for my shoulder to lean on
Because I swear I won't be here

The way you left me hanging
In the midst of a clouded room
Shrugged me off, and waved your hand
Ignored my impending doom

So don't act like you're so brave
Or your intentions are so true
Because I know better now
And through your ego, I see through

How easily you ran away
Ignoring every action made in vain
Pretending like it never mattered
As if you never knew about my pain

Don't grovel when it ends
And you've got no one on the side
Don't get angry when I'm not there
And you have no friend to confide

You cannot use me like you did
And then throw me in the dirt
Especially not after what I've been through
You know how much it hurts!!

So don't come off so brave
You're a coward, and now I see
You don't stand a chance in hell
To ever know the real me

Back off, don't talk, just leave
You've made a fool of me, so go
I don't want another excuse
What you haven't said, I already know

Please take your empty words
Tip your hat, and walk out the door
Turn your back, and walk out slowly
I don't know you anymore.
