Diging the grave

by Kia   Nov 4, 2004

He seemed to go unnoticed
Like he wasn't even there
He felt like no one wanted him
And that no one even cared

Day in and day out
He felt pushed aside
He searched the pleasures of life
Just looking for somewhere to hide

He was falling further away from his friends
Spending less and less time with them
But they really didn't notice
He guessed they didn't care about him

He never did his homework
He didn't pay attention in school
Trying to hard to find the right friends
He just wanted to be cool

Falling further away from his family
Spending less and less time at home
He spent more and more nights out on the streets
They were his to roam

He never wanted to stay at his house
He hated all the fights
He spent most of his time out on his own
In the streets at night

Turning to things to make him happy
He looks in the wrong places
He associated himself with the wrong crowed
Size and shape didn't matter, nor did their races

All that really mattered
Was what they could buy
It didn't matter what it was
As long as they were high

Falling away from the church
Spending less and less time there
To much other stuff to do
And he was to high to care

Each time he came down
He thought he needed more
He spent his money on drugs
Away from them he could not be tore

His addiction grew stronger and stronger
He spent less and less time at work
Soon his money was gone
and He was left with nothing on his fork

He has no one to turn to
He's at his wits end
He's left with nothing
He doesn't even have a friend

With each new experimentation
And each new drug
He wastes more of his life
And one more inch in his grave is dug.
