‘Just a bad dream’

I told you I keep having thins nightmare.
In my mind
It’s every day,
I keep telling myself its just a bad dream.
‘Open your eyes’
It’s just a bad dream,
She said.

There’s a tightness in my heart,
So so strong it aches.
There’s a tightness around my throat,
So so strong it hurts.

In this forbidden dream,
Searching for the light,
Looking down the tunnel.
I keep telling myself its just a bad dream.
Why have you dragged me here?
What have I done?
I asked.
