Boys

by MariSylvano   Nov 5, 2004

They'll take your heart and tear it in two,
They'll rip you apart as they say 'I love you'
You'll fall for their tricks and believe they will change,
But for years to come, they remain the same,
No matter what, there's always that one that you know,
No matter what happens, you just can't let him go,
Maybe he cheats, maybe he pushes you away,
Maybe he just doesn't feel the same,
Whatever it is about him that's making you cry,
If he's that one then you'll still want to try,
For months and years you'll just be blind,
Blind to everything that you can't find,
And to all his faults that you just can't see,
Still you'll say "But he means so much to me"
Boys can be angels, but they can be cruel,
They can treat you like queens or they can treat you like fools,
Yet no matter what you'll be loving them still,
And in the end it's your heart they'll kill,
Until the end when it can stand no more,
It will turn cold, and never love like before,
When love leaves you bitter, just remember this,
Remember his eyes and remember his kiss,
And I guarantee that you'll just go running back to his arms,
And do your heart so much more harm,
But you just can't help it, because he is your world,
And that's just the way it is for girls

Hey! Thanx for commenting on my poem! I really liked this one you wrote...I can really relate. I've let boys do that to me several times, and getting out of the rut almost seems impossible at times. Great Job! Keep up the work!
