In Your Stare

by Anonymous   Nov 6, 2004

I know that you have made mistakes,
I know the situations you undertake,
The pain left over is hard to bear,
I see and feel it in your stare,

I know this because of what you say,
You read me your life day by day,
You're also glad we can openly share,
I see and feel it in your stare,

As I look deep into your eyes,
And you look right back into mine,
I know the longing is right there,
I see and feel it in your stare,

I can heal and help you up,
I'm your right hand, your gentil touch,
I know that you need my repair,
I see and feel it in your stare,

What love is based on must be trust,
The worst love's made of dirty lust,
You must know, see, and care,
I see and feel it in your stare,

These truths are full, and mutual,
I know you know, think it through,
You long for love that cannot tear,
I see and feel it in your stare,

I want you happy and filled with cheers,
So what I ask now is that we remain peers,
______ you're cool, that's what I'll say,
Let's be friends, best friends we'll stay.

I realize now,
That we're just pals,
Don't be sad,
But be glad,
It's better to be,
friends indeed,
than lovers that,
will soon forget,
everything that was once there,
I see and feel it in your stare.
