Phantom Kisses

by julie   Nov 6, 2004

Am I the only thing not man made?
Or for whose love has not been paid?
All of you blow me phantom kisses,
And grant me your plastic wishes.
Synthetic love and synthetic words slash my face,
Beneath make up thick, and clothes, scanty, is hidden your own face.
What am I to do with your pretentious praise?
What am I to do with your admerous daze?
Personalities reminiscent of jekyl and hide,
Whispering sweet nothings, not knowing they’d lied.
When you're at the gates of heaven, they shall admire for a while,
And refuse you, as you dug your grave with your botox smile.
Loves black blood, we long ago drew,
Leaving loves withered heart, tinged with blue.
Perhaps love, the purest of things, can be entwined with hate,
And to indulge in it leaves death as our fate.
And when I gaze into his fiery eyes,
I see what's wrong with the world, pain death and lies.
Humbug talk and plastic hearts,
And their words as sharp as darts.
I watch my soul, trickling with strawberry pain,
To rid myself of the world is the only way to remain sane.
For we are doomed for all our wanted bliss's,
And when we die we shall be stained with phantom kisses.
