Spring

by Brad Champagne   Nov 6, 2004

While winter quickly closes in,
And night is dark and cold,
A vibrant, soothing spring begins
Within my mind, its hold.

This warm embrace, comforting dream,
A sweet vision of you,
Epiphany of love's great theme,
A woman kind and true.

In the hallowed halls of church I pray
The Lord thy soul to keep,
For if from His love you'd turn away
How endlessly I'd weep.

You are the light and joy I seek
In darker times as these.
My love I give, though be I meek,
I fall on bended knees.

So as the darkness presses in
I see a vision true
To an inner spring begin At merest thought of you.
