IN THE SHADOWS OF LOVE

My eyes grow heavy/I feel it all start to slip away/My eyes slowly shut/My life drifts away/Its swallowed by the shadows/Engulfed in the swirls of heartbreak and hate/My head drops to my chest/All the pain I feel disappears/The harder I fight the brighter the light gets/It starts to draw me in/My body falls to the floor/I see myself lying there/My face is blank/I'm scared/I try to cry...I feel the pain but I cant feel the tear roll down my cheek/I'm confused/I look at my broken body and I see a tear leave my eye/I feel the ache in my heart return/I slowly open my eyes/I feel a wave of anger wash over me/I sit up an all I can see is your face/My eyes fill with tears/I scream but no one hears me/The room starts spinning...everything gos black/I start falling/I'm falling in love...But love is supposed to be the "best thing in your life"/But they don't tell ya about all the pain and hurt it causes behind the curtain/In the shadows...in the shadows of love theres a hurt that no one can describe/A game that no one can win/In the shadows of love theres nothing to save you...from yourself...
