In the Dark

You left me standing in the dark,
with noting to see, but darkness all around me.
You left me alone,
but I don't know why.
You left me with one thing,
a broken heart.
You let me fall,
but you never caught me.
In the dark I stand there,
and think about you.
You told me so many things,
the I won't forget.
You gave me so many things,
that I can't let go of.
You gave me life,
that i can't get back.
You gave me love,
that wasn't true.
I gave my life to you,
but you never took it.
I gave you love,
but you took it for granted.
I held out my hand,
but you always let go.
In the dark,
I loved you more then anything.
But now you put me there for good.
I will never get out,
I'm stuck there for life.
My love will never let go of you,
because I had it for along time.
You dropped me,
and you never turned back.
In the dark I have nothing,
but myself.
You took all the memories we had,
and threw them with me.
Why did you love me in the first place?
I don't know.
I don't even know if you loved me
at all.
Care, love, hope, and faith
never mattered to you, but to me it did.
You took everything about me,
and gave up.
Why I don't know,
and probably never will.
In the dark,
