Corruption of a nation through the eyes of a young woman

A nation divided, people united, into parties whom of which are fighting one another as if engaged in a civil war of words. There are so many different views that neither side can separate fiction from what is real.
Children are dying, women are crying and fighting for their rights. Many speak of the moral issues that are at stake, that may be so, now... Discrimination against those who are different is moral? Are taking away womens rights to choose seen as moral? How about lining the pockets of the wealthy with money, when there are so many individuals out there starving to death and being shunned, tossed aside like garbage by the rest our society, is that seen as moral? What does our nation really stand for? All that can be seen through my eyes and through the eyes of so many others would be hippocracy and corruption. The division of a nation that was once based on individual rights and freedoms and what was once a democracy is beginning to tear little by little at the seams. One man and a minority wish to rule the rest by the cross, and discriminate against those who do not follow in their path of so called rightessness, what is right here? Can anyone see the big picture? there is so much more to this nation that is at stake. Why do sexual morality and censorship play the biggest roles in deciding the fate of the people? Compared to a war and the fall of a nation as one .Are these the crusades that we are fighting? Are these the dark ages? Those who ignore history are condemed to repeat it. We as a nation are condemned to repeat history for now we ignore it and the lessons it once taught us, or the stories it told us,as we are thrown now into a world of renewing chaos and darkness. United we may stand but divided we will surely fall, and be conquered by stupidity and intolerance. It will eat us alive and destroy the foundation upon which we stand.
