Amelioration

by Semaran   Nov 7, 2004

Just simply to forget a love,
Is to cast down pain.
But how often does it work,
Without leaving you insane?

The world still glitters,
And is not a mirage.
But darkness covers all,
Some feelings just too large.

A cyclone, now twister,
The storms of these hearts.
Arguments shake and blow,
All words just vile darts.

But friendship tries to remain,
Insults received and forgiven.
Until life boils once more,
Hate breaks from its prison.

Blackness swirls like Winter,
In too soon, here too long.
But memory disperses,
And Spring come into song.

Just the dim pain of recognition,
Beats with loves sight.
Although love lasts forever,
Once again can sleep at night.
