My Mom Poem

by Beautiful x Disaster   Nov 7, 2004

Mom,

I look at many mothers
And I am scared of what I see
Abusers, neglecters, and many others
It’s really sad, I must agree

I see children completely forgotten
Even some without a parent
Their life, is pretty much rotten
It has made things really apparent

I see Moms in their own little mind
Too busy, to even realize that their child exists
To them, the child does not belong to mankind
Like if their child left, the Mother would not miss

Trust me, I don’t like that style
As sad as it is to mention
All of this makes me smile
Although they may not get attention

I have a mom that cares about me
And one that even loves me, too
Just for that, I am as spoiled as can be
I just want to say thank you

I know people who would kill
Just to have a mom like you
To make them feel special, but still
I may not say this enough,or as often as I should
But I love you, Mom, I really do

I wrote this for my mom when I was 14..thats when my dad was driving my mom insane and needed to remind her that I love her..
