Lost a friend

I lost a friend, sad but true.
He never listened much,
but talked enough for two.
until he spoke words of hurt,
that went straight through.

He isn't worth it, I say everyday.
but why oh why does it hurt this way?
I think about what he meant,
if he thought of me too.

The times we shared, just disappeared
Never really happened, it appears!
He tossed me aside, and went on with life.
Friends we once were, but not anymore!

He doesn't mean that much, I say everyday
but why oh why can't i make my tears go away
I'm tired of crying for a friend that isn't true.
I'll pretend it doesn't matter and smile like a fool

If he only knew what he has done to my heart.
I should tell him, but I'll hold it within.
Where i can be safe, and not face him.
With time i can move on,
and not mourn a friendship that is long gone.

okay so i lied he meant too much, i don't know why.
As soon as i can admit it, i can leave it behind.
No one to tell, i keep this inside
buried down deep, so no one can reach.

when the time is right, he will talk once again.
i will say get lost and go away, your not a friend.
Sadly but true, that isn't who i am.
