No subject, No title

by SWAPNIL SAWANT   Nov 8, 2004

Was restless today
And the day before that
Wanted to write a poem
But subjects ran miles from me.
Could do with a dog or even a cat!!!!
Should I write on friendship?
Then the thoughts of election get a grip,
Suddenly some lines on college drip.
After penning a few words,
The thought of study floods,
Leaving the poem incomplete
I get down to study with half me in the poem,
But the book in front of me commands me to sleep,
Spontaneously I start counting sheep’s,
One over the fence, two over the fence,
The poem is miles away
The restlessness is still there
But who cares?
Sometimes in life,
You don’t realize what are doing,
Until you have done it completely.
Now, that saying doesn’t make sense,
It is the same with the poem,
The first in history without a subject,
But still does have an effect.

weird as it may sound, i think the title fits the poem very well. don't you think that's cool? i do. i liked its certain enjoyable simplicity. the flow's great also. keep writing. take care:)
