Someone Just like YOU

I know that you think your depression is special
like you need to be locked away in some shell
i know that you think your different from all the rest
but this you see is something that i must protest.

If you are different from all the rest then why
why is the world filled with people like you and me
why is the world filled with hidden truths not meant for us to see
why is it that every time you try to do good it ends up bad

Every time i think about life it is always something sad
life is eternity and the pain that comes with it
it's a bonus i guess and you just have to life it
it's like a weight on your shoulders and you can't lift it

sometimes i think about how alone i am
why did she just go ahead and cheat with him?
i think about all the bad things in the world
they say the world is an oyster and she was my pearl

i think everyday if i had just been there...
but in the end i came to the conclusion she didn't care
she was my first love and that will never be forgotten
but she cheated and lied to my face, that's just rotten

i told her when i was forced into something
i told her that i wished for her to wear my ring
i told her when that pill changed my life
so much that i fell into a hole of strife

i wish that i could be proud of that you call life
but honestly i am not i hate it every night
no amount of pills or talking will be a fix
because in my heart it is always a quarter past six..........
