Jack in the Box

by Daniel Solomon   Nov 9, 2004

Jack is lost in his box.
A cubed gateway that is locked.
The six walls have built his cage.
Dust and moths cascade around the crank.
Many colors have been laid upon his prison.
These colors shine through like a prism.
The darkness he holds grows harder every day.
Poor Jack, the darkness continues to fill his grain.
If his world was filled with light, Jack would be able to see.
But, only a child can set him free.
