Lost you

It was supposed to be fun,
but that fun turned into love.
I asked over times three,
what you felt for me.
With each time it
pushed you further away.

I know you weren't ready,
you were hurt before.
But i can't help to wonder,
if that was your way to tell me to leave.

You had your reason,
whatever they may be.
I only wished for honesty,
I guess we weren't meant to be.

I loved you and I never told you,
i should of been more open,
and more honest too.
I guess thats my fault,
for not sharing my heart with you

I am sorry my dear,
we will always be friends.
At least I have our memories,
i will hold them within.

And one more thing i want to add,
you were hard as hell to get over.
And I wont start this up again.
