Inside Your Head

by Lauraballz   Nov 9, 2004

What's going on inside that head?
I guess I'll never know,
And however many times I ask,
The answers will not show.

I'll make a promise here and now,
Your secrets safe with me,
Just close your eyes and part your lips,
And let the secret free.

It must be bad if you're so keen,
To keep it locked away,
I'll find a faith to keep me sane,
Until then, here I'll stay.

I know there's something going on,
You're really not the same,
It seems you can't be touching me,
Without a look of shame.

Beside you in the darkness,
I lay awake inside,
I’m so worked up about your mind,
This fear just won't subside.

Is it me you're dreaming of?
As you rest your eyes?
I'll kiss your head and calm my own,
Ignore the inner cries.

Are you thinking it's the end?
I can't be strong forever,
Sighing ways to tired dreams,
Believing we're together.

But until the time you open up,
I'll stumble on the cause,
Of what exactly is going on,
Inside that head of yours.

xXx
