Fragrant Lies

by Alaleighea   Nov 10, 2004

A/N : Not really a Lost love poem, its kind of a don't want love poem.. just read and see...

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Love is such and easy word
It rolls right off your tongue
I know I'll hear that useful phrase
Before the night is done
You'll hold me in your arms so tight
And kiss away my fears
You'll whisper gentle phrases
For my heart into my ears
You'll promise all the worlds mine
You live your life for me
You'll mask your sweet deception
Till at last i can not see
That all your promises are false
Just a masquerade
This fragrant lie you let me drink
Is just a game you play
I'll drown in all your sweet caress
Till I'm desperate to believe
Then crumble with defeat and sorrow
When you choose to leave
Although you've sworn i wont get hurt
And you're love will never end
This age-old heartache wont let go
I refuse to love again
