Fight

by Erica Brown©   Nov 10, 2004

Couldn't sleep that night,
We had a terrible fight.
You threw a cup at the wall,
But that didn't matter to me at all.
What mattered was that you weren't there,
To be here, to show me you care.
I heard the crack of the door,
Then footstpes on the floor.
You crept to the side of my bed,
With something silver at your head.
I got up and couldn't believe the sight.
Wrapping my arms around you, I hugged tight.
The object fell to the ground,
You hugged back without a sound.
That was the last night,
We ever had a fight.
