Even so, you came

by Mimi112   Nov 10, 2004

How dare you come into my life,
Without even knocking on my door?
In your hands you had a knife,
But I think you're such a bore.

For you I changed my standards
For you I sacrificed my time.
But you were just playing cards,
And you've always been as bitter as lime.

All these moments spent together
In an instant, forgotten.
You were my brother,
My friend.

You were content
With your poor existence.
I lived in a tent,
With all around me, a fence.

I wouldn't let you come in,
You kept calling and calling.
I wouldn't open,
Still you entered without knocking.
