Through the years

I've learned a lot through the years
through fake smiles and unseen tears
friends sometimes are not forever
true love doesn't always last
and happy moments go by fast

you may feel that no one cares
but always remember someone is there
the saying is sticks and stones may
break my bones but names will never hurt me
some words can hurt more than one could see

don't worry someday it will get better
I've been there before w/ my head in my hands
believing there's no way anyone could ever understand
