Doomed to Love?

I am so afraid of life,
I want to run and hide,
I don't want to live,
just ride out on the tide.
I wonder all the time,
if God made a soulmate for me,
maybe I don't have one,
who will set me free.
perhaps I'm to only have friends,
and end up in broken relationships,
to be alone all my days,
never have someone kiss these lips.
maybe I'm doomed to love,
and never have love returned,
to give away my heart and soul,
only to be played and spurned.
my soul yearns for a mate,
someone to love it like it loves,
for it to stop being alone,
as it watches the doves.
I'm afraid that this will happen,
that this nightmare is my fate,
that God didn't make someone for me,
and I'll never have a mate.
friends just aren't enough,
saying so is only a lie,
I'm afraid of one thing,
that alone I will die.

    WOW! u clearly have a way eith eords. I too ask this question alot. love is not one of my majors trust me, I'm always the one that gets let down. maybe my answer is yes maybe not, but for you, trust me there's someone outhere for everyone!!!
