Like You Were My Last (re-submit)

by Molly Elizabeth   Nov 11, 2004

I stare out my window
as you walk away.
What a crisp cold night that was.
Watching you leave.

I told myself I wouldn't cry a tear,
wouldn't let you know my pain.
So as you left, I hid hurt inside
and cringed as you slammed the door behind.

I'm not sure what happpend,
why this all went so wrong.
I was kidding myself from the beginnning, to think this love
could last so long.

You were never sentimental,
would never cry a tear for me.
You wouldn't kiss me like i kissed you, and you never really LOOKED at me.

I won't cry,
I swear I won't
I'll fight it even though it hurts.
I guess your not worth all this pain,
but I loved you like you were my last, Oh God, how I wish you were my last!!
