Once Upon a Time

by Lil Luce   Nov 11, 2004

They sit stiffly side by side
neither seeing the other,
But to their marriage they abide
Who'd have thought they once where lovers.

Both together yet love-lorn
Their spark gone, whats left are parts,
Of their marriage together although torn.
Each with cold and untouched hearts.

The sweet embrace they once shared
The time has past, is this their fate?
Neither daring to admit that they once cared
Before the time of his fornicate.

Both together yet strangely alone
Her eyes shone with unshed tears,
No going back to the emotions they had shone
His face stern not hearing the fears.

If they admit to their divide
The icy touch that replaced their caress,
If they could only swallow their Pride
And regain their love's tenderness.
