Far off thinking
of a different and better place
one where nothing matters
not looks, smarts, or race

of when I'll be able to die
to start off life with a clean slate
and never have to cry

for my life I'm living yet I'm not
for it's my heart that has been torn

of when i can start anew
and with all the problems in my life
i would know what to do

because i had loved more than anything
that i was head over heels

of all the good and all the bad
and judgment by race
